EGA briefings  ·  Established 2001

Twenty-five years of
consistent practice.

EGA briefings was founded in 2001 by Elizabeth Goenawan Ananto, beginning as a bi-monthly bulletin on public relations and business communication. Over the following twenty-five years, that work grew into sustained practitioner education, research, and in-house training with Indonesia’s largest organizations.

The Institution

Built for organizations that build from within.

Organizations that lead are not the ones that communicate most. They are the ones that communicate strategically — with clarity of purpose, grounded in research, evaluated against outcomes.

A consultancy works for clients. An institution works for a field. EGA briefings has worked since 2001 to help Indonesia’s organizations practice public relations as a strategic management function. Not by doing it for organizations — but by building their capacity to lead it themselves.

We believe the organizations that will shape Indonesia’s future are those who understand, from the boardroom to the front line, what strategic communication actually is. This is what we have worked on for 25 years. This is what we continue to build.

Our Approach

Communication grounded in research. Measured against outcomes.

EGA briefings approaches communication as a discipline, not an instinct. Our work draws on one framework — Research, Planning, Communication, and Evaluation — and one standard for what counts as progress: the Seven Steps of Change. Because communication that does not shift behavior has not truly landed.

Our Journey

Twenty-five years. Seven chapters. One direction.

From a bi-monthly bulletin on yellow paper in 2001 to a national learning platform in 2026, EGA briefings has changed format seven times — print, campaigns, summits, audio, forums, conference, Academy — all toward one direction.

The people

Deliberately lean.

EGA briefings runs on a clear division between two directions. One directs the business — its operations, its growth, the systems that keep it running. The other directs the content — its research, its curriculum, its published thinking. Neither runs without the other.
